WORKSHOP
KATRIN KOENNING

7- 11 December, 2025
Offset Studio,

New Delhi

Workshop Fee :
INR 5,000

*Limited seats are available for the workshop. Once you register, you will be sent an email from us to confirm your participation. Please note that all emails for participation are confirmed by Offset.

The workshop invites participants to slow down, look closely, and enter the quieter rooms within their images. Working with photographer Katrin Koenning, participants will approach their ongoing bodies of work to understand methodologies in narrative building through a guided exploration of editing and sequencing practices. The workshop aims to provide both individual and group feedback, inspiring new directions and studying how images speak to one another in developing a personal voice. Across the sessions, participants will work with their own material while learning approaches to authorship that honor both intuition and intention.

By the end, each participant will develop a clearer sense of their vocabulary as image-makers and gain practical tools for shaping a body of work into a coherent and resonant form. The workshop is open to practitioners who are nearing completion OR have a complete body of work and are keen to deepen their editing practice and build narratives that reflect their own ways of seeing

Katrin Koenning is an artist working across still and moving images and text, at times including found materials, painting and collage. Situated at the intersection of the personal and the political, her practice centres themes of relation, intimacy and connection, often positing imaginaries with a greater-than-human world. She uses fragments and slippages to suggest narrative spaces, communities and lived experiences that are allied, fluid and multiplicit ~ like a river that flows.
Koenning’s work has been exhibited internationally and nationally, including at the National Portrait Gallery, Museum of Australian Photography, Centre for Contemporary Photography and the National Gallery of Victoria. Katrin collaborates with many organisations and festivals locally and across the Asia-Pacific region, teaching workshops in photographic thinking and practice. In 2024, she published her book between the skin and sea with Chose Commune (Paris, FR).
She lives and works in Naarm (Melbourne Australia), on unceded Wurundjeri Country.
